Who We Are
Over the years, Frederick Derr & Company has become known for its expertise in heavy highway construction, site development, utility installation, and golf courses. In doing so, we have also assembled some of the most knowledgeable managers, superintendents, and foremen in the industry.

Our competent management team is dedicated to ensuring that your project deadlines are met while supplying quality work. We have held our FDOT certificate of qualification since 1963.

We Have
A Successful History
Frederick Derr & Company has a long history of successful site developments. Founded in 1961 by Wendel F. Kent, the Company was originally known as “Wendel Kent and Company”. In 1986, Frederick M. Derr acquired the Company and continued to expand into site development, underground utilities, and golf course construction. In 2023, Frederick Derr & Company became an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
